DGS Volunteers Needed 3rd Saturday at HSD Library
The Delaware Historical Society Research Library will now be open on third Saturday of each month except for holiday conflicts. The Delaware Genealogical Society has committed to provide at least two volunteers to assist with staffing needs. You may volunteer for the entire day or for one of two shifts, 10 am -1 pm or 1 pm -4 pm. The only requirement is that you attend a 2-hour training session. Ellis Island NY Bus Trip - probably in October, 2008

with sidetrip to NYC Library - details TBD

Washington DC Bus Trip - probably in March, 2009

Leaves 7am from Aldersgate Church parking lot (on Route 202 just north of Fairfax Shopping Center) and 7:20am from Bob's Big Boy parking lot (Newark I-95 rest stop)
ITINERARY: Washington DC stops: DAR Library (admission $6), National Archives (can walk to Library of Congress), Smithsonium Castle;
RETURN: bus leaves DAR at 4:10pm sharp, the Archives at 4:20pm sharp and Smithsonium at 4:30pm sharp and arrives in Delaware about 7:00pm;
COST: $27 DGS member, $30 non-member; more details
